This report presents worldwide motherboard shipment volume per year for the period 2013 - 2017 and per quarter for the period 1Q 2011 - 4Q 2013. Also included are forecast and recent years' review of worldwide shipment volume and share by region and by CPU connector type, as well as worldwide motherboard vs. worldwide desktop PC shipment volume ratio. This research finds that affected by weak market demand, worldwide desktop PC motherboard shipment volume continued to decline further in 2012. The decline is mainly ascribed to the growing popularity of mobile computing devices. In 2013, given the fact that China has become the single market with the largest motherboard demand worldwide, desktop PC demand will be mainly upheld by market demand in the emerging markets. It is forecasted the worldwide motherboard shipment volume will see year-on-year decline in 2013.
